BRM is Bourne again
BRM is Bourne again
Thousands of spectators lined the streets of the small Lincolnshire town of Bourne in early October for BRM Day. The special day commemorated the 50th anniversary of BRM’s success in the 1962 World Championship with Graham Hill.
Star guests included three-time World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart and 1996 World Champion Damon Hill. Stewart and Hill Senior were team-mates in P261s in 1965, the first of Stewart’s three seasons with BRM.
The whole town was turned over to the event, with cars demonstrated on sections of closed public road. A special feature was an array of Grand Prix cars from 1962, including the ex-Jim Clark Lotus 25.
