New owner for Race Retro

The International Historic Motor Sport Show, Race Retro, will run under new ownership in 2009 after founder Ian Williamson sold the three-day event to Live Promotions Events Ltd. “Race Retro will be a wonderful addition to our annual events portfolio,” said Colin Ward, the MD of Live Promotions.

Williamson will continue as a consultant for the show, which runs from March 13-15 2009 at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry, with Aston Martin as a featured marque. Live has considerable experience in event organisation. The company toured with the John Player Grand Prix Roadshow, featuring Nigel Mansell and Elio de Angelis in the 1980s.
