Group C keeps to same format
Group C racing will again feature at just four events next season, with double-header race weekends making up a schedule that does not include a race at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Having organised the series in 2008, Charlie Agg has pledged a similar format for ’09, when race dates will be split between the UK and mainland Europe. “Group C should be about getting the right cars on the grid a few times a year,” said Agg, who is likely to scale back his role.
The regular format for next year will consist of a 30-minute sprint race and a 90-minute endurance race at each event. “Group C racing is all about endurance,” added Agg.
