F3 'screamers' to get mini-series

More races for 1-litre Formula 3 cars are planned in Britain next season as the HSCC seeks to expand the Peter Hanson Trophy into a three-event mini-series. Races at Silverstone and Brands Hatch are likely to be added to the annual Oulton Park Gold Cup race.

“We hope to increase the number of Historic F3 ‘screamers’ running with us. We had 18 of them at the Brands Superprix in 2007,” said HSCC chairman Chris Sharples. Over 60 cars have been identified for possible use. They are likely to race in tandem with Classic Racing Car or Formula Junior races.
