HISTORIC HALL GATHERS PACE

The Historic Hall at Autosport International on January 13-16 will boast an extensive display of racing cars to coincide with the centennial celebrations of BEN, the benevolent fund for motor industry employees.

Sited in Hall 11, it will feature 20 cars, two for each decade since BEN’s inception in 1905. The cars will include a Williams FW11 (above), a 1922 TT Vauxhall, a 1908 Panhard GP car and an Alfa Romeo 308C.

Another major display from the Group C/GTP race series will include a Porsche 962, a Tiga GC86 and the 1985 EMKA-Aston Martin.

Elsewhere, the 100-year history of Shelsley Walsh will be marked — from a 1905 Daimler to Adam Fleetwood’s record-breaking 2004 Gould.
