With automobilia now much sought after, does anyone remember the sheets of 144 postage-size stams, each one depicting a racing driver?
With automobilia now much sought after, does anyone remember the sheets of 144 postage-size stamps, each one depicting a racing driver? They were the idea of Casque(SCH Davis. The Autocar’s sports editor) to finance a prize for the mechanic of the winning car in the 1930 TT. with any money over going to Weybridge Cottage Hospital. The set cost 2/6d. I have one somewhere. I suppose these stamps would now earn a sliver of gold at auction, if any are left.
