Terry Ogilvie-Hardy

The former single-seater competitor who died in October, aged 72, was best known during his career as a driver for Alexis. He raced for the Midlands-based team in a variety of Formula Two and Formula Three chassis throughout the 1960s.

Successful in Formula Ford, Alex Francis’s squad struggled higher up the racing ladder, but Ogilvie-Hardy’s experiences with the team helped him create a very successful business: crash helmet-makers, Griffin.

He also remained closely involved in the sport by providing race reports for Motoring News from a range of F3 events.
