Sid Beer

A man who enjoyed a lifelong association with MG, this club motorsport devotee founded a family legacy.

His garage business in the little Cambridgeshire village of Houghton began its association with the Abingdon make just after WWII, and Sid soon became a very enthusiastic competitor in a variety of models before supporting his son Malcolm’s racing.

Best known for tuning MGBs, the Beers have remained central to the MG Car Club’s activities, and a third generation, Sid’s grandson Adrian, has recently taken to the track.
