BRITISH GP MOVES TO EASTER DATE

BAD NEWS FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE

got used to booking your summer holidays to coincide with the British Grand Prix every July. The powersthat-be have decreed that for next year’s Formula One calendar, our home event will move to the Easter weekend, with the race itself taking place on Sunday April 23.

It’s not all bad news, however. Silverstone has assured anybody who has provisionally booked tickets that they will automatically be valid for the April meeting and point out that for the first time in years, the race will not clash with other major sporting events. What’s more, the Bank Holiday Friday means you can make it to all three days without having to take time off from the office. Rescheduling the Grand Prix will make it the fourth round of the championship, following the Australian, Brazilian and San Marino races.
