We hear that the last of Challenor Barson’s many Berson Specials is still in use, but that at 87 this inveterate specials-builder has decided that enough is enough, he and his wife now motoring in his 1990s Berson Special or a Mazda 626. Resident in South Africa, Mr Barson has subscribed to MOTOR SPORT since it first appeared in 1924 as The Brook/ands Gazette. How many other such long-standing readers are there (apart from WB)?
