HilIclimb enthusiasts will know the supercharged 8C and 6C Alfa Romeo specials which Murray Rainey and his daughter Joy have campaigned for many years. This self-published book tells how he built and runs these much modified machines, with much technical detail on pre-war Alfa innards. Its best audience will be those who work on such cars, but the sprinkling of tales and reminiscences adds entertainment. Incidentally. the ‘Ferrari’ in the title relates to Rainey’s belief that his 8C was initially assembled secretly by Enzo in the AAC days.
