Fee admission to the opening meeting of 1988 at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park or Snetterton is being offered with advance ticket sales for the Racing Car Show at Alexandra Palace. Organised by Focus Events (Greencoat House, Francis Street, London SW1P 1DG) on behalf of the BRSCC, the Show is open from January 7-10, and tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children.

Spectators at the Oulton Park special stages on the first day of the Lombard RAC Rally were treated to a rare display of older machinery, when the Historic Rally Car Register was invited to run seven tarmac stages as a supporting event. Pre-rally publicity had also been aided by a HRCR display in Chester.

All Ferraris currently or previously owned by past and present members of the Ferrari Owners Club and Prancing Horse Register are listed in the FOC’s recently-published third-edition Register. Compiled on a micro-computer by three registrars in their spare time, this very thorough piece of work runs to more than 200 pages which include chassis and registration numbers as well as a guide to all racing and road models. Copies are available for £10 to members and £15 to non-members (post-free in Britain) from 231 Station Road, Balsall Common, Coventry CV7 7EG.

John Thring, spares co-ordinator of the AC Owners Club, is appealing to members for information on sources, and is liaising with AC Cars Ltd as it attempts to build up its stocks of urgently needed parts. The Brooklands factory has provided a list of currently available spares for publication in the Club magazine Action.

Venue for the BMW Car Club’s annual dinner and dance on December 5 is the Randolph Hotel in Oxford. Tickets are available from 558 London Road, Isleworth, Middlesex TW7 4EP, priced £15 each.
