Miniatures News, December 1972
Auto replicas (England), 12 Chichester Close, Salisbury, Wiltshire, have issued the first of what they intend to be a series of historic racing cars, made of die-cast metal and easily assembled. This No. 1 model is of a 1/43rd scale ERA, 3.3 inches long, with well-simulated wire wheels carrying rubber tyres of 0.6 in. diameter. The model is nicely detailed with “leaf” springs, but comes unpainted, so that constructors can turn it out as desired, as anything from an A to a D-type. The price is £2.25 inclusive of UK postage. It is intended that the next in the series will be a 3-litre Maserati. — W. B.
