A reliable old clock
Sir,
I read with interest Mr. Jones’ letter regarding car clocks.
I have a Smiths electric clock in my 1947 Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane. It is built into the centre of the driving mirror nicely out of the way and I find it most reliable.
Have I just been lucky or has British craftsmanship deteriorated in the past 14 years? Incidentally, this is typed on my vintage Remington Standard No. 7.
