The "Motor Sport" Brooklands Fund
A Further Announcement
We are pleased to announce that the Brooklands Fund to commemorate Mr. Locke-King’s grand work on behalf of motorists by converting his Weybridge Estate into a motor course, is now receiving the support we feel it deserves. In sending his donation, Mr. Gill, whose TA M.G. is about to be supercharged, remarks that he was too young to visit Brooklands before the war, but was keenly interested in model petrol engines, etc. Since his “demob” he has become very interested in motor-racing and sends his cheque to support his belief that racing does help the motor industry. Mr. Rener says he looks forward to reading in Motor Sport an account of the race for the Locke-King Brooklands Trophy and will be proud to have contributed to such a trophy. He hopes the race will be under International Formula over a distance calling for at least one pit stop. We agree most sincerely and if the Fund continues to grow there is no knowing what we may be able to do. The position to date is as follows: —
