LAMMAS-GRAHAM INTRODUCES ITSELF

The supercharged Lammas-Graham was announced during Show time, and Lord A vebury drove one at the closing Brook lands meeting. During the middle of November the marque was subjected to a useful demonstration which would only have been staged at Brooklands Motor Course. Charles Follett, who is dis tributor for the new car as well as for the Alvis, and Lord Avebury, chairman of Lammas Ltd., drove a stripped production four-seater Lammas-Graham round and around the outer-circuit for a period of three hours. They had the car officially timed by A. V. Ebblewhite, and averaged 86.92 m.p.h., covering 260.76 miles. The first hour averaged out at 85.57 m.p.h., and the two hours at 86.99 m.p.h. The best lap was set at 97.65 m.p.h. This is a very fine show, as most owners of 100 m.p.h. sports-cars would discover if they attempted to emulate the performance. It will completely convince purchasers of the 3/-litre side-valve Lammas that they have a genuine 90 m.p.h. motor possessed of

adequate stamina. R. P.Oats, the popular veteran racing driver, is technical director to Lammas Ltd. The touring edition of the marque is priced at )020.
