Packed GP support

The historic sports car race supporting the British Grand Prix at Silverstone has been heavily over-subscribed, with around 80 applications for the 44 places available on the grid. The race will run on Sunday afternoon following the grand prix.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with applications,” said Grahame White of race organiser, the Historic Sports Car Club. “The final selection will be extremely difficult.” The list includes 10 Lola T70s, six AC Cobras, eight E-Type Jaguars, 16 Chevrons and five McLarens.
