Exaggerated reports

Sir,

You may have seen a nice piece by Steve Cropley in a recent issue of Autocar about the 1953 Le Mans-winning Jaguar C-type. In it, he states that both drivers (Tony Rolt and Duncan Hamilton) are no longer with us. I must report that this is not so: my father is very much alive and, on this 50th anniversary of that epic win, he and I watched this year’s race together on TV.
