Factory Aston Martin bound for Silverstone

A ‘works’ Aston Martin International with an intriguing and distinguished competition history in two disciplines is one of several cars coming from Jersey to take part in the Footman James RetroRun, which ends at Silverstone’s Coys Festival on Saturday, July 26.

Owned by David Acon, chassis LM5 was raced at Brooklands, Le Mans and in the Swedish Grand Prix of 1931 and proved its versatility when having been fitted with a four-seater body by the factory took part in the following year’s RAC Rally of Great Britain!
