Recooperation

I have just completed the restoration of a 1965 Formula 3 Cooper, chassis No F3-18-65.

This car was originally raced in Europe by John Fenning. It won a Formula 3 race at Knutstorp, Sweden, and placed second at Cascais in Portugal.

Fenning sold the car to a person in Scotland and from there it went to America to race under Group C of the SCCA’s classification. The MAE Engine was enlarged to 1100cc, twin Webers were fitted and the gearbox was swapped for a six-speed Mk7 Hewland.

The car was raced in the USA by Russ Rotzler. If any person could assist with the history of this car from the period 1966-1980, it would be appreciated.
