Congratulations, Avon

Avon tyres are an all-British product and were seen in the proud position of being fitted to the Rolls-Royce and Bentley exhibits at the last NEC Motor Show, as they have been since 1933, being equally effective on the very fast modern Bentleys as Avon sidecar tyres are on vintage A7s, for instance. Avon have now won the Austin / Rover contract for supplying Avon Turbo-speeds for the 3.5-litre Rover Vitesse. — W.B.
