Willie Green in the Bamford Ferrari 275LM (right) gave victory to Modena in the Jaguar v. Ferrari v. Aston Martin race at the Aston Martin Owners Club Silverstone meeting. Colin Crabbe chased him hard in the Ferrari Testa Rossa. Below, typical of the delectable Aston Martin machinery, Bill Symonds’ DBR1, later to hit the Woodcote Armco. Bottom, GT40 and DB5 make way for Peter Lovett’s Porsche Carrera RSR, winner of the Unicognac race for GT and Sports Cars in advantageous (for it) sodden conditions.
