The latest Corgi is a Rambler sports fast back, No. 263, with opening doors, tilting seat backs, plated bumpers, working suspension, etc., price 6s. 9d., while Lesney have a Leyland 8-wheeler, pipe-carrying truck, No. 10 in their “Matchbox” series, to 9.2:1 scale, price 2s., and an Opel Diplomat saloon, No. 36 in the same series, to a scale of 11:1, priced at 2s. Lesney also have a Ford articulated low-loader, with twin rear tyres on the tractor unit and four wheels on the trailer, carrying a Case caterpillar earth-mover. This impressive piece of Laing equipment is new model K-17 in their King Size “Matchbox” series. In the normal “Matchbox” size there is a Lesney six-wheeler Alvis Stalwart of the B.P. Exploration Team, No. 61 in the new model series.
