THE TOURIST TROPHY RACES.

THE TOURIST TROPHY RACES.

Entries have now closed for the R.A.C. Tourist Trophy Race, which will be run over the Ards circuit on September 2nd. The following are the definite entries so far received, but in addition a certain number of provisional entries have also been received. Following the usual custom of the R,.A,C, these will not be included in the entry list until particulars of the cars to be raced have been tiled. The list, so far, is as follows

The R.A.C. points out that in place of the class prizes which have hitherto been

awarded in connection with the Tourist Trophy Race, there will be substantial prizes for the first three cars over 1,500 c.c. and also for the first three under 1,500 c.c., to finish the race. Thus in addition to the Tourist Trophy, for which all cars entered are competing on a class handicap, there are also two scratch races for large and small cars.

The whole of the prize money amounting to £1,500, has been most generously donated to the R.A.C: by Sir William Morris, Bt., and Lord Wakefield and Mr. E. Gordon England have very kindly given the trophies for the winners in the two scratch events.
