What novelties and treats will they come up with next? That’s always the question with Goodwood – and the Sussex circuit has likely come up trumps once again with a juicy addition for its 81st Members’ Meeting.

A competition for sidecars looks set to be a highlight as the meeting celebrates 10 years since its rebirth on the weekend of  April 13-14. Up to eight modern-era sidecars will be go head-to-head, with the four fastest pairs taking part in a shootout on the Sunday. Motorcycle races are a tradition at Goodwood since racing resumed in 1998, and will be again thanks to the Hailwood Trophy.

Can-Am and a tribute to Niki Lauda are the themes for the demo runs, while the line-up of 12 races remains eclectic, stretching the Revival’s boundary beyond the circuit’s 1948-66 period life. Standouts this time include the all-Ford Mustang Ken Miles Cup, the SF Edge Trophy for Edwardian racers and a frantic 15-minute reverse-grid Gordon Spice Sprint for Group 1 saloon cars.
