In brief, April 2008
* The Pembrey circuit in South Wales will have a festival of historic racing for the first time on July 12/13 when the Historic Sports Car Club runs a two-day event. The Tom Pryce Memorial Trophy, presented in memory of the Welsh F1 driver, will be the focus of the weekend.
* Former F2 racer James King will switch to a JPS-liveried ex-Emerson Fittipaldi Lotus 72 in Grand Prix Masters this season. The American will drive chassis R5, entered by Classic Team Lotus.
* Rallying veteran Bob Bean, who has been competing for nearly 50 years, will mark his 70th birthday by competing in the Robin Hood Forest Rally in his Lotus Cortina on March 8/9. Bean is thought to have contested more RAC Rallies than anyone else in his long career.
* The first races in the global celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Formula Junior were held at Pukekohe in New Zealand in late January. Victories fell to Jonathan Williamson, who won twice in his Lotus 22, and Peter Strauss (Brabham BT6). The 40-car field included cars from Europe and the USA.
