500cc anniversary

The 60th anniversary of the first race for 500cc Formula 3 cars at Gransden Lodge in July 1947 will be celebrated by a special race on the Brands Hatch GP circuit during the Historic Superprix on June 30/July 1.

Organised and backed by Richard Utley, the race entry is free. “I have a list of more than
60 known running cars,” says Utley, “and we’re hoping to get a grid of about 30 cars.”
