VSCC'S Measham night

The VSCC’S Measham night rally attracted 49 entries, with only four non-starting. Well organised and blessed with clear nocturnal conditions, it was won outright by Mike Tomlin, with Nigel Raebum navigating, in their 1932 12/60 Alvis (above), gaining them the Dames Longworth Trophy.

The Measham Trophy went to John Potter, with Ian North directing, in a 1927 12/50 Alvis, and the Jeddere Fisher Trophy was awarded to Adrian Ducker, with Anita Littler map-reading.

First-Class Awards to: R Parsons (1927 Frazer Nash), Mark Garfitt (1937 FN-BMW).

Second-Class Awards to: F Adams (1932 Riley 9), K Boosman (1922 Dodge), C Podger (1926 12/50 Alvis).

Third-Class Awards to: J Gill (1929 Lea-Francis), P Wardle (1932 Riley 9).

Retirements: a 4.3 Alvis and an Austin 12
