VSCC/BRDC Extravaganza

The VSCC’s annual spring start race meeting is to be a two-day event, following confirmation of a joint venture between the club and the British Racing Driver’s Club.

After the customary VSCC races on Saturday April 13, the BRDC will host a series of events on Sunday, headed by the opening round of its Historic Sports Car Championship.

Other races held on Sunday will include historic Formula Junior, Formula Ford and saloon cars.

“The BRDC is delighted to join forces with the VSCC,” said Roger Lane-Non. “This provides an excellent opportunity to develop an historic club meeting.”

Following the move of the Historic Festival to Oulton Park (see Gold Cup story on opposite page), the Spring Start meeting will represent the BRDC’s only historic event of the 2002 season.
