Sebring's golden anniversary

Sebring celebrated 50 years of its famous 12-hour sports-car race in mid-March, with many former winning cars and drivers on hand.

Notable amongst the cars was the Porsche RS60 which won the 1960 event in the hands of Hans Herrmann and Olivier Gendebien.

A resurfacing project has been completed at America’s oldest sportscar circuit, covering half of the 3.7-mile lap. However, its famous concrete main straight, part of the WWII Hendricks Field airfield, is unchanged.
