F1 Arrows and WSC Jaguar sign Eddie Cheever

Although he has signed to partner Derek Warwick in the Arrows-BMW Formula One line-up, American Eddie Cheever will drive as many races for the Silk Cut Jaguar sportscar team as his Grand Prix schedule permits.

Cheever had a full season with the Tom Walkinshaw Racing Jaguar last year, after failing to land a regular F1 drive. At a recent Silverstone test session he raised the team’s hopes for the season with a 1min 11.6sec fastest lap.
