ERA dinner
The newly reconstituted ERA Club held its annual dinner on March 10th at the Kensington Close Hotel, London. Pre-war drivers of ERAs present were Arthur Dobson and Kenneth Evans and the immediate post-war activities were represented by Brian Shawe-Taylor and John Bolster. There were twelve currently practising ERA drivers among the many members present. Stars of the evening were the first ERA, R1A, now totally rebuilt back to original, and the last of the pre-War series, the E-type, GP2, with Zoller blown engine. Between these two was Dudley Gahagan’s well-known R7B, raced pre-War by Arthur Dobson.
Membership of the ERA Club is open to anybody who enjoys the sight and sound of these cars and costs £2. Details from the Hon. Sec., Guy Spollen, Arden Grange, Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire.
