Ferodo Fan-Belts

Sir,

I feel that Mr. D. Murray-Wilson (February Motor Sport) should certainly have had his plate of Birds-Nest Soup with his Ferodo Fan Belt, he certainly paid enough for it! ! The price of the belt, a small flat belt, at that time was a mere 3s. 7d. May I suggest that the fault was not in the belt but in the fitting thereof.

I do agree with him, however, that the Ferodo article was very well written, with a complete absence of frills, writing for which you, Sir, are famous. May you drive your pen for another 200,000 words during the next 12 months with continued success.

I am, Yours, etc., R. C. Bishop. Exeter

[In fairness to Ferodo, they have offered to replace the faulty fan belt of which our correspondent complained.—Ed.]
