R.A.C.’S 1960 CONTINENTAL HANDBOOK

The R.A.C.’s 1960 Continental Handbook is already in great demand by the record number of British motorists and motorcyclists planning holidays abroad this year. This latest edition has been completely revised and includes for the first time a section on Poland and an appendix dealing with travel to the U.S.S.R.

The-Bandbook has a bright ” new look ” about it this year with a multi-colour cover that sums up the spirit of Continental holidaying. It contains over 640 pages of information set in a new easy-to-read type, together with a 32-page section of maps that have been specially re-designed for easier reference. A revised distance chart has been introduced and the currency table now indicates the sterling equivalent of the various European currencies.

Changes have taken place during. the past 12 months concerning Continental touring regulations, and all of these are included, together with up-to-date news of road signs places of interest, currency, and prices of petrol and oil. Each country is dealt with in alphabetical order and details of over 5,000 Continental hotels and garages are shown.

The price Of the Handbook remains unchanged at 6s. 6d. to R.A.C. members and 10s. 6d. to non-members. It can be obtained at any E.A.C. Office.
