Proud owner

I was most interested—and I must say, delighted—to read Mr. Thurston’s letter regarding his Chrysler 72.

For several years I have been the very proud owner of various American cars, including an Essex Super Six, Cord, Auburn, and many others. I can safely say that I get more pleasure out of these vehicles than I do driving the “tinware” of today.

I feel it is worth noting that my last Cord would happily show many of the current sports cars the way home. Quite a few Jaguar and TR2 drivers were badly shaken when they attempted to overtake “that old Yankee heap.”
