John Cobb

We are glad to observe that in the recent Government publication “Something Done,” John Cobb’s Land Speed Record gets a full page to itself — which is only what Cobb deserves. We note with pleasure the non-austerity style of this publication, the size of which is most refreshing in this age of paper rationing, and merely wish to correct Lionel Birch on one point — Cobb beat his previous record by 25.35 m.p.h., not by “a further twenty-five miles.”
