Sir, The suggestion by Mr. Strachan of fitting a larger engine in a small sports chassis is far better in my opinion than tuning the existing engine. I often wonder why ” special ” builders tune small engines, with sometimes very poor results in performance. A larger engine, in my opinion, would give the desired perform

ance with less trouble. While on this subject, I wonder if any of your readers have tried or considered fitting a larger engine into the chassis of an M.G. J2.

A letter from anyone who has attempted this should make interesting reading. Particularly as to what difficulties were met with. I am, Yours etc.,
