A NEW RELAY RACE REGULATION
Owing to complaints to the effect that starting cars from cold in the L.C.C. Relay Race led to serious mechanical troubles, B. and C. cars in this year’s race will be allowed one mechanic per
car in the relay paddock and they may be started by the handle, starter-motor, or by jacking up and turning one of the rear wheels. Pushing will not be allowed. Each mechanic will be permitted, however, to have in his possession a box of plugs. Only the mechanics will be allowed in the relay paddock. Amongst the teams is likely to be three Speed Twenty Alvises, entered by Charles Follett.
