BUGATTI GRAND PRIX ANOTHER RACE ABANDONED GRAND PRIX
OF THE A.C.F. TO BE RUN OVER COMMINGES CIRCUIT.
Bugatti Grand Prix.
The regulations are now issued for the holding of the Bugatti Grand Prix, organised by the A.C. de L’Ouest de la France, to be run on the Sarthe Circuit at Le Mans, on June 24th of this year.
The event is to be a purely amateur one, for any private owner of a Bugatti car. The entrant may appoint another driver provided he is not connected with the Bugatti works. Entrants cannot have their cars tuned by the Bugatti factory. There will be four classes :
1st Category (from 2.000 c.c. to 3, 000 c.c., or) ; 2—litre Bugatti cars with compressor ; 2.3—litre Bugatti cars with compressor. 2nd Category (from 1,500 c.c. to 2,000 c.c. ; from 2,000 c.c. to 3,000 c.c., or) ;
1,500 c.c. 8-cylinder Bugatti cars with compressor ; Standard 2,000 c.c. Bugatti cars ; Standard 2,300 c.c. Bugatti cars. 3rd Category (from 1,500 c.c. to 2,000 c.c., or) ;
1,500 c.c. 4-cylinder Bugatti cars with compressor.
4th Category (from 1,500 c.c. to 2,000 c.c., or) ; Standard 1,500 c.c. Bugatti cars without compressor.
The trial heats will take place over six laps, and the Final will be held over 16 laps, or 276 kilometres. The Final handicap is arranged as follows :—
The 16 competitors qualified for the final handicap will be the first four of each of the four categories, who will start at the same time.
Competitors who have qualified in the 4th category will start at H o’clock.
Competitors who have qualified in the 3rd category will start at H o’clock + 15 minutes. Competitors who have qualified in the znd category
will start at H o’clock + 25 minutes.
Competitors who have qualified in the 1st category will start at H o’clock + 34 minutes.
Under these conditions, the order of arrivals at the end of the 16 laps of the Sarthe Permanent Circular Course will be the order of the general classification.
The start will be a standing start with the engines running.
